Received this in a prize package from a Ramblings of a Suburban Mom giveaway. This is one of the items I really wanted to try, as I never buy expensive nail polish for myself. Loved it!
Never really believed that there was any difference in nail polish and that you were just paying for an expensive "name", but after trying this polish, I really think there's something to the old you-get-what-you-pay-for adage!
This polish went on smoothly and just "felt" better. May have been my imagination, but it also lasted much longer than my other polishes. Didn't get any chipping until the third day, and that was just on the tip of two fingers, barely noticeable. Had to remove it by the fifth day, but that's practically a record for me!
Don't normally like pink or red polish, but really loved this hot pink shade! I used two coats with a base, but no top coat. May ask for more Dior polish next Christmas, as love this polish!
The PopSugar Must Have box is a crowd favorite, but the boxes have been hit or miss for me. This month's box was a solid hit, as I love everything in it! I was able to use a special 50% off promotion and get this for half price. Well worth it!
First look at April's goodies!
Must Have Home: Caldrea Rosewater Driftwood hand soap.
Hands down, this is my favorite item in this box! Really, really like the scent and find myself washing my hands more often just so I can smell them! *L*
Must Have Home: Graphic Image Pocket Notes.
The perfect size to toss in my purse in case I need to jot anything down! Love the color too!
Must Have Beauty: Too Faced Natural Eyes.
This is the reason I signed up this month, as this was one of the spoilers released by PopSugar. I know it's not the famous Naked pallette, but the colors look similar enough to me so I'm happy!
Must Have Fashion: BlueAvocado (Eco) Shopper.
I have a ton of tote bags so don't really need another. Clever how it folds up into its own carrying case, but I'm not sure I'd ever use it. Might go onto my trade board.
Must Have Home: Fresh Pastry Stand Totally Awesome tea towel set.
Love these towels! They're much larger than normal tea towels, and so cute! I've already marked several on her Etsy website that I'd like for my birthday!
Must Have Food: NatureBox PopSugar Must Have Mix.
This is an exclusive mix made just for PopSugar. Not bad, but a little on the dry side.
While it seemed to take forever for me to receive this box, was so happy when it finally arrived! Between the tea towels, eyeshadow pallette, and hand soap, this is my favorite box to date!
Escape Monthly bills itself as a Vacation in a Box! Every month features a different destination, with products from that location guaranteed to pamper you! A little expensive for my tastes at $49.95 per month, I was able to sample a box thanks to a great deal I found at Groupon.
First look at the Irish goodies!
Living Abroad in Ireland by Moon Travel Guides. Escape Monthly includes a travel book in each box, but I don't have much use for something like this and would prefer a novel based in that country instead. Better yet, leave out the book and include more snacks!
Gift of the Gab Irish tea bags. I love tea, so excited to try these!
Hogan's Brown Irish Soda Bread. I loved the brown bread we had in Ireland, so looking forward to trying this! The instructions look pretty straightforward, so will give this a go.
Human + Kind Family Remedy Cream. I have a ton of body lotions and creams and don't really need more. This smells a little medicinal to me, and seems like an odd thing to include in an "Irish" package. Are the Irish known for their hand creams? Don't think so.
Butler's Milk Chocolate Truffle. This was a good chocolate bar that disappeared quickly! I love the chocolate overseas because it doesn't taste as processed as American chocolate!
Auld Sod Shamrock Seeds. While I understand that shamrocks are heavily associated with Ireland, why anyone would plant these is beyond me. I mean, we're trying to get rid of the clover in our yard, not plant more!
O'Neill's Shamrock Shortbread. I don't usually like shortbread as it's too dry, but these were nice & buttery and disappeared quickly! Very pleased with these!
Bewley's Irish Creme Coffee. Not a big coffee drinker, so gave this to DH. He hasn't tried it yet, but I'm curious what Irish Creme coffee will taste like!
All in all, I'm pleased with my first Escape Monthly box! I could have done without the book and thought that some of the items were odd choices, but I liked the taste of Ireland received! It's a little too expensive to keep as a subscription, but will order again next time I find a great deal!
Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription where you receive a mix of beauty products (samples and full size). At only $10 per month, it's one of my favorite beauty boxes and a great deal! I like it so much that I signed up for a second box!
First look. This month's theme is Rainy Days, and I received tip #7 in this box: turn off your smartphone and crack open a novel. Great advice!
My April goodies!
Gilchrist & Soames spa therapy body wash. This is a really good sized sample, but I may save it for next vacation. Not 100% sure I like the scent, but reserving judgement until I actually use it.
Number 4 clarifying shampoo. Another good sized sample, but I haven't yet tried it.
Number 4 reconstructing masque. This was a bonus add-on, so can't get too annoyed at the dreaded foil packet.
Atelier Cologne Cedrat Enivrant Cologne Absolue. This is a duplicate for me, so one will be going on my trade board. Not thrilled with the scent as it doesn't remind me of citrus fruits at all.
Sumita color contrast eyeliner in deep purple. Another duplicate from my other box, but I'm in the midst of a love affair with eye liners right now, so will be keeping this one!
KIND healthy grain snack bar in Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt. I love salty snacks and you can really taste the sea salt in this bar, so loved it!
So while I love the items I received, a little disappointed that I got three duplicates in my second box. A little surprised as I filled out the beauty profile differently from my original answers. Will probably cancel this subscription and just stick to one.
Ipsy is a beauty subscription box where you receive a Glam Bag full of deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products every month. It's only $10 a month, so overall it's a good deal if you'd like to try products you normally wouldn't buy. I used to prefer Birchbox as I wind up using more of their samples, but my last few Ipsy bags have been more to my liking lately.
Love seeing that pretty pink envelope in my mailbox!
This month's makeup bag has a record design with a Beauty Rocks label. Very cool!
Demeter Jasmine Perfume Oil roll-on. This is a really good size sample, but I'm not 100% sure about the smell. It has a light floral scent, but I'm not sure if it's "me" or not. Will let it settle down before making up my mind.
Cailyn tinted lip balm in Apple Pink. I'm glad I received this shade as the other is way too pink for my tastes! And I love how the brush is built into the handle! Always wanted to try Cailyn, so pleased to get this in my bag.
dr. brandt microdermabrasion cream. I've heard about this brand before and think I may have received samples before, but have never tried them. I'm in need of a good exfoliate, so hoping it works and doesn't irritate my skin!
Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-on eye pencil in black velvet. Urban Decay is one of the brands I've always wanted to try, so really happy to see this in my bag!
Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow Champagne eye shadow. Have never heard of this brand, but it's a good size sample so I'll give it a try.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this month's bag! I checked out the other items offered this month and think that Ipsy did a really good job matching my tastes! Did you receive an Ipsy bag? How did you like your selections? Would love to hear what you got!
Product Description: With tea tree extract and sunflower seed oil, TRESemmé Renewal Hair & Scalp Leave-In Conditioning Spray provides the foundation for salon-gorgeous style. The salon quality formula lightly nourishes and smoothes hair to give you beautiful, healthy-looking hair that is ready to style. My Thoughts: While I usually use a detangler on my hair, I decided to give this product a try as I've used Tresemme products in the past with good results. I prefer spray-on conditioners to those you have to rinse out as I don't have the patience to wait the 2+ minutes to let the conditioner set before rinsing. This didn't untangle my hair as well as my normal detangler, but did leave my hair smooth and shiny. Will buy this again as it combines conditioner with detangler, which cuts down on the time I need to spend on my hair.

Birchbox is a monthly beauty subscription where you receive a mix of beauty products (samples and full size). At only $10 per month, it's one of my favorite beauty boxes and a great deal! I received box #13 this month.
First look at my April Birchbox. Right on top was a little card saying 52 Bright Ideas For a Rainy Day. I received tip #6, which suggested turning your bath into a spa by taking a bubble bath.
My April goodies!
Color Club nail polish in Heirloom Pearls. I was actually pleased when I saw this shade, as I've been looking for a decent white polish!
Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner in deep purple. Just started using eyeliner, and am excited to try it in purple! Fingers crossed it doesn't look like I was in an accident! *L*
Keims Cleanshine Energizing Shampoo. I'm sort of meh when it comes to shampoo samples, but at least it's a decent size and not a foil packet. Foil packets and I don't get along very well....
Atelier Cologne. While I love perfume samples, I'm currently drowning in them and don't need any more. This is a duplicate to boot, so will put this one on my trade list.
Maple Pumpkin Seeds with Sea Salt KIND Snacks Healthy Grains Bar. This was the Lifestyle Extra in this months box, but mine came broken and in crumbs. Not bad, but would have liked an unbroken bar for the full effect.
Did you receive Birchbox this month? Which box did you get? I love the purple eyeliner and am pleased with the white polish, so counting this month as a win!
